Suffolk’s police chief Douglas Paxton visited Newmarket as part of his county tour, meeting people and talking to communities about their issues and concerns.
The constabulary’s mobile police station was set up outside the Guineas Shopping Centre, where Mr Paxton was based, along with officers from the local safer neighbourhood team, members of the force’s community safety team and representatives from Suffolk Safekey.
Mr Paxton said: “Last week’s visit to Lowestoft was a great success and we have had a great time in Newmarket today. Lots of people came to speak to me and the team and identified issues specific to their area.
“It has highlighted the importance of me spending time getting to know the different areas in our county.”
