Local gardeners are being invited to put their green fingers to the test in this year’s Newmarket in Bloom competition.

The popular contest has a variety of sections to enter and this year’s closing date is Monday, July 21. The competition will be judged in late July and early August.

Categories include best hanging baskets, best front garden and best small front garden. There are also sections for local businesses, including best pub and best hotel (Newmarket and Exning), best business and best industrial premises.

All entries will be judged by members of the Newmarket in Bloom committee and the awards will be presented at a special ceremony later this year.

Entries must be on the coupon on this page and should be sent to Paul Stearn at 21 Elizabeth Avenue, Newmarket, Suffolk CB8 0DJ.
