Theft from town cash machine

Cash was stolen from a Newmarket ATM machine after a man withdrew some money and forgot to take it.

The cash was withdrawn from an ATM machine in Market Street between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 13.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “It appears the person who had been queuing behind him took the money and gave two bystanders a quantity each before making off.”

Anyone who saw this incident is asked to call Pc Tim Walker at Suffolk Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
