Subway store could soon be opening in town centre

Fast food giant Subway could be heading to Newmarket to fill one of the town’s empty stores.

An application has been submitted to Forest Heath District Council by Mr Rachpal Singh for a Subway branch in an empty shop in the town’s Guineas Shopping Centre, Newmarket.

The empty store used to house The Black Cat Gift Shop until it closed its doors in October last year. It has not yet been revealed when the new branch would be opening and how many new jobs it might create as Subway was unavailable for comment when contacted by the Journal.
