Stud hand makes awards shortlist

Employees from racing yards across Newmarket are not the only ones who have been recognised for their work within the industry at this year’s Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards.

Kevin Gossage, assistant stud manager at Aislabie Stud in Stechworth, has made it to the final three in the Stud Staff category at this year’s awards ceremony, which will take place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel on March 4.

“I am shocked and delighted to have made it down to the final three as getting into the top 10 was an achievement in itself,” said Kevin, who has also worked at Cheveley Park Stud and Hascombe and Valiant Stud in Cheveley.

“I am lucky enough to work in a job that I love doing and to be recognised for my efforts makes it all the more worthwhile.”
