Stable fundraising bid gets off to a flying start

Newmarket trainer Jeremy Noseda’s Shalfleet Stables enjoyed a flying start to its fundraising campaign for local charity East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each), raising an impressive £5,229.54 overall in 2012.

The sum was generated through donations, following each of the stable’s winners, and also includes £3,509.54, which was collected by Jeremy and some of his staff at Newmarket’s Ladies’ Day at last year’s July Festival.

Jeremy also secured Each as ‘sponsor’ for a number of Shalfleet horses with the Each logo being carried on silks, polo shirts and rugs and the charity took groups to visit at the trainer’s stables and see his string on the Newmarket gallops.

“We are delighted to support such a worthwhile charity as Each, whose work is invaluable,” said Jeremy. “We are happy to continue our association with the charity in 2013 and the aim has got to be to surpass the 2012 total.”

Nikki Brown, Each Suffolk fundraiser, said: “We’d like to thank Jeremy and the Shalfleet team for raising such a phenomenal sum for Each and we’re delighted to know the fundraising relationship is set to continue.

“We’re starting to see more and more support from Newmarket and hope Jeremy and his team’s effort continues to inspire others to get involved. Money raised provides vital care and support to local life-threatened children and their families.”
