Aspiring young footballers in Burwell are set to benefit from some much-needed new goal posts.
Burwell Community Sports Centre bought the equipment with £220 donated by the Newmarket Lions.
The mini goal posts will give younger children the chance to play in an area suited to their size.
“Scoring goals is what every young footballer wants to do”, said Daniel Gullon, operations manager.
“We can now introduce realistic matches for our younger groups and new sports such as handball and futsal.”
Chris Rawlinson, Newmarket Lions spokeswoman, said: “We like to be able to give to good, local causes and this fit the bill.”
