Science inspires art competition

THE winners of an art competition based on images from the world of nanotechnology visited Cambridge University's Nanoscience Centre to receive their prizes.

Year 9 students at Bottisham Village College were set the task of studying images on the nano scale.

Mandy Wilkins, head of art, said: "The competition was an excellent chance for our students to produce imaginative work."

Matthew Brown and Hugh Burton took the top prize with runners-up Thomas Pumfrey, Joe Acklam, Samantha Bruno, Ellie White and Anna Wharton.
