School gets new chairman
TATTERSALLS director Martin Mitchell has taken over as chairman of Newmarket’s British Racing School.
He succeeds Nigel Elwes who stood down in December after nearly eight years.
Mr Mitchell has worked at Tattersalls for over 40 years and is well known throughout the bloodstock world.
“I have been a trustee of the British Racing School for over six years and becoming chairman is a new challenge which I relish.” he said.
Andrew Merriam, chairman of Jockey Club Estates, has joined the board as a trustee.
