Road closures on A14, A11 and A47 as crane is transported

Major roads in Norfolk and Suffolk will be closed for several hours today and tomorrow as parts of a crane are transported through the counties.

The parts will be carried between Great Yarmouth and Felixstowe between 10am and 2pm along the A47, A11 and A14.

The A47 Acle Straight will close at 10am on both days and the A11 will be closed between Thetford and Barton Mills Fiveways roundabout at midday on both days.

A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said: “Drivers should expect delays and traffic congestion and avoid these routes where possible as there will be no overtaking the load.”
