An allotment which pupils of Soham’s Weatheralls Primary School have visited all year long was officially opened on Wednesday.

Pupils took class trips to the site at Berrycroft to learn about gardening and wildlife.

The allotment has a goldfish pond, flower meadow, animal boxes and a table for children to make notes when organiser John Curtis, of Thorn Close, gives talks about the insects and other garden animals that live there. For a full report, see page 22.
