Students at Mildenhall College Academy received an insight to the world of politics on Friday after receiving a talk from Mildenhall MP Matthew Hancock.

The Conservative MP visited the college’s Bury Road campus to give a talk to those in Sixth Form studying government and politics.

While at the college, Mr Hancock also met A-level history students, pictured above, to get an insight into their project on the Christmas Truce, one of the most iconic images of World War One.

Earlier in the day, Mr Hancock spent time with a volunteer litter picking group to lend a hand cleaning up a verge between Newmarket and Kentford. Turn to page 20 for full story and pictures.
