Police warn homeowners to remove keys from locks after attempted burglary in Newmarket

Police are reminding residents to remove keys from locks after an attempted burglary in Newmarket.

The incident happened between 9pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, December 14, at a flat in the High Street.

The offender used a garden cane to hook keys, which had been left in a lock, through the letterbox, but was not able to break in due to an additional lock being secured.
