Thieves broke into a village bungalow and got away with thousands of pounds of goods including the keys to a Land Rover Discovery which was part of their haul.
The theft took place sometime between 11am on Wednesday and 6.30am the following day at an address in The Street in Holywell Row.
The thieves got in by removing the glass in an integral garage window and once inside stole electrical items including an Apple iMac computer, Apple iPad, a Samsung NX1000 camera with two lenses, and a Panasonic compact camera.
Five men’s bikes – a Trek Fuel 100, a Giant mountain bike, a Trek 9.9 mountain bike,a Trek Superfly Pro, and Cervelo Soloist racing bike – were also stolen,
The thieves also helped themselves to the keys to a grey Land Rover Discovery, registration number ML11 UHY, which was then driven away.
