Police are hunting a teenager who kicked an 11 year old boy so hard the injury will require surgery.
The incident, which has only just been reported to police, happened at around 5pm on Thursday August 1 in a lift waiting area at flats in Churchill Court, in Rowley Drive in Newmarket.
The boy was approached by two male teenagers, one of whom kicked him with force between the legs. The two boys then ran off.
The boy has been assessed by a doctor and it is understood that he will require an operation for the injury he has received.
Police want to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident. They would like to speak to anyone who saw two teenage boys, described as being of very slim build with light brown/blond hair running from the area or anyone who may have information in relation to who may have carried out this assault.
