A cannabis factory containing around 90 plants, has been uncovered on an industrial estate officers in Newmarket.

Police raided industrial premises in the town’s Craven Way just off Exning Road, at around 4.30pm on Friday. Officers took away the plants along with hydroponics equipment and compost which was being used in their cultivation.

A 55-year-old man from Newmarket was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and taken to Bury St Edmunds police station for questioning, and has been since been bailed until September 18 pending further enquiries.
