Police arrest 2 after stopping vehicle in Forest Heath area

Two men have been arrested in relation to metal theft after officers on patrol in Forest Heath stopped a suspicious vehicle.

At around 12:30am this morning, Tuesday 11 February, officers spotted the vehicle on the A1065, near to the junction with the B1112 towards Eriswell.

It was followed for a short time before being pulled over in Station Road, Lakenheath, where checks were carried out. Inside the boot approximately 10 metres of copper cable was discove

A 24-year-old man from Thetford and a 32-year-old man from Brandon were arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre, where they are currently being questioned.
