A scheme to encourage dog owners to report any suspicious activity to the police was launched in Newmarket on Sunday.

Paws on Patrol, which is supported by Forest Heath District Council, is looking for dog owners to register with Suffolk Police and report any suspicious behaviour they may come across while out and about to the non-emergency number 101, or 999 if they believe a crime is taking place.

Two more registration days will be held from 11am to 3pm on Thursday, March 20, at the Jubilee Centre in Mildenhall, and on Thursday, March 27, at the Millennium Centre in Red Lodge. Above ... Pc Ian Watson and PCSO Hannah Rogers with Angie Perry and her lurchers.
