Lord Derby’s final plans for the partial development of his Hatchfield Farm site in Newmarket’s Fordham Road, will go on show next week.
The proposals, set out a plan for 400 homes to be built over an eight-year period.
A spokesperson for the project said: “We have spent the past few months working on the plans which respond to the balance of views expressed by the local community and other stakeholders.
“There is a need for homes to be built in sustainable locations and in a manner which enables traffic mitigation measures and which does not contravene horse-racing policy.
“We believe we have achieved a balance which can bring wider benefits to the local economy, the horse-racing industry and the community as a whole as well as responding to the identified need for housing in the local area.”
The exhibition will be at The Rutland Arms on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2pm to 8pm.
