New building society to open up in Mildenhall
A new building society will officially open its doors to the public in Mildenhall today.
After weeks of preparations and staff training, the Ipswich Building Society will open for its first full day of trading from its new home at Balmforth Estate Agents in the High Street.
“We are really looking forward to opening the doors to our new agency,” said Paul Winter, chief executive of Ipswich Building Society.
“It is great to be working with Balmforth Estate Agents and the feedback we’ve had suggests that many local people are looking forward to having a building society back in the town.”
Between 9.30am and 2pm on Saturday the agency will be staging an open morning.
Visitors will have the chance to speak to trained staff about the various services the building society offers, along with handing out numerous give-aways.
“Our celebration event is our way of becoming part of the community and we are looking forward to meeting local people,” said Mr Winter.
“There will be plenty of activities running throughout the event so we’re hoping as many people as possible will come and say hello.”
