Mildenhall man appears in court accused of murder

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of popular local angler Paul Bone.

Andrew Turner, 49, of Pembroke Close, Mildenhall, appeared before magistrates at Bury St Edmunds today (Monday) accused of killing 40 year-old Mr Bone during the early hours of Friday morning.

He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until January 2 when he is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

A 45-year-old woman from Mildenhall, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail and will return to Bury St Edmunds on March 18.
