Two men who were arrested in Lakenheath in relation to metal theft have been bailed.
Officers on patrol at 12.30am yesterday spotted a suspicious vehicle on the A1065, near to the junction with the B1112 towards Eriswell.
Police followed the vehicle for a short time before pulling it over in Station Road, where checks were carried out.
Approximately 10 metres of copper cable was discovered in the boot.
A 24-year-old man from Thetford and a 32-year-old man from Brandon were arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre (PIC).
They have both been bailed to return to the Bury St Edmunds PIC on Thursday, April 3, pending further enquiries.
