Mary celebrates 60 years with the Red Cross

Colleagues of Newmarket Red Cross centre organiser Mary Bowers, pictured centre, were on hand to help her celebrate 60 years of service.

Mary, who was made an MBE in 2005 for her work with the organisation, has ,over the decades, served as an assistant commander, a group leader and a youth leader with the branch.

She was presented with a bouquet at its headquarters in Mill Hill by Red Cross fundraiser Jane Dow.
