A Red Lodge man accused of assaulting his parents has appeared in court.
Nathan Gardner, of Aster Close, was expected to plead guilty to the charges, his barrister told Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday, September 5.
The 33 year old is accused of wounding his mother, Susan Gardner, in Turnpike Road, Red Lodge, during the early hours of Monday, August 26, along with common assault of his father.
The court heard that Gardner had been charged by police the following day and had been held in custody since then.
Gardner, who spoke only to confirm his name, is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court again on Friday, November 15 for a plea and case management hearing.
Gardner’s defence barrister, Charles Myatt, said no application was being made for bail.
Recorder Mr John Brooke-Smith told the defendant that he would continue to be remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
