Man injured in A11 collision

A man suffered an injury to his spine during a two-vehicle collision on the A11 near Barton Mills on Monday.

Police were called to the incident, involving a grey Jaguar XK and a blue Peugeot 406, at 4.55pm.

The man was trapped in one of the cars, which had crashed into a ditch, and was freed by firefighters.

An East of England Ambulance spokesman said the man’s injury was not thought to be serious. He was taken by ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital.

The road was cleared by about 6.40pm.
