Man admits theft

A man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to three offences in Newmarket.

Kurtiss Jenkins, 18, of Stetchworth Road, Dullingham, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday where he pleaded guilty to common assault, unlawful wounding and theft.

The charges followed three incidents in Newmarket in October, which led to his arrest on November 1.

The incidents involved the theft of two bags from a woman near the All Saints Car Park on October 19, an assault on a man in Wellington Street on October 4, and an assault on another man in Icewell Hill on October 28.

He will remain in custody until he is sentenced next month.
