Exning’s Jonathan Cook will be among a number of locally based runners stepping up to the starting line to tackle the London Marathon later this month.
Fifty-year-old Jonathan of St Wendred’s Way, will be running the 26-mile course on April 13 for the fourth time in as many years.
Past efforts have seen him raise thousands of pounds for charity
including Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity which raises awareness of fatal heart conditions, a cause he chose in memory of three friends who died from heart problems.
This year Jonathan, who works for Newmarket haulage company H W Coates Ltd on The Pines industrial estate in Fordham Road, is running for VICTA, a charity which supports blind and partially sighted children and their families.
