Newmarket MP Matthew Hancock, staged his second jobs and apprenticeships fair in the town’s memorial hall on Friday.
The event, backed by Newmarket Jobcentre Plus team, attracted businesses from every sector, from aerospace engineering to horseracing, care, banking and telecoms, all offering a mix of jobs and apprenticeships, as well as employment advice.
The minister for skills and enterprise said:”Newmarket has some fantastic businesses and a top class team at the Jobcentre, which is why unemployment in the town is low. But there is still more we can do, especially for young people. As well as more jobs I want to make sure they have access to the huge opportunities apprenticeships offer.”
