A Kentford dentist has been struck off by the General Dental Council (GDC) following a hearing, into allegations of a criminal conviction.

The charge he faced was that on 26 March 2013, he was convicted of fraud by abuse of position at Ipswich Crown Court. Jaques was jailed for 18 months and given a confiscation order for £78,658.22. Unless Jaques, who was immediately suspended, exercises his right of appeal, his name will be struck off the register in approximately 28 days time.
