IN COURT: Man to answer to 'brutal and sadistic ordeal'

A MAN and three teenagers will appear at crown court later this month after it was alleged they subjected two men to a "brutal and sadistic ordeal."

Appearing before magistrates at Bury St Edmunds today were 18-year-old Gary Buckley of Willow Park in Beck Row, Ronald Vinden, also 18, of Waterside, Isleham, Michael Jones, 20, of Sedge Fen near Lakenheath and a 16-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons.

They each face two charges of false imprisonment and two charges of assault causing actual bodily harm.

All four were remanded in custody until Tuesday when they are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court. Bail applications were refused.

A 22-year-old man from Brandon has also been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail until November 3.

Prosecutor, Shini Cooksley alleged the incident took place on Friday August 20, when Daryl Turner and Lee Morgan, both in their 20s, were driven from Mildenhall to a remote timber yard in Sedge Fen where they were assaulted and subjected to other abuse.
