Heads, charity wins ...
STARS from the world of sport and entertainment were at a charity cricket match to launch a £1 million appeal to fund a new unit for the Teenage Cancer Trust at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
The game at Carlton, near Newmarket, was hosted by Robin and Willow Wylie and saw the famous Bunburys celebrity side take on a Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) team.
Harry Judd, from McFly, led the TCT XI and was joined by actor Greg Wise, the St Neots-based Olympic swimmer Mark Foster and former England cricketer Chris Silverwood.
The Bunburys fielded ex-Emmerdale actor Fraser Hines. Also involved were former Australian cricketer Jeff Thompson, former Rolling Stones bass player Bill Wyman, and Barry Fry, director of football at Peterborough United.
And watching the match was Roger Daltrey, front man of The Who and a TCT patron.
As well as the match, there were a wide range of stalls and attractions, including a children's helter skelter, Scribbles pottery workshop, a coconut shy, T-shirt and CD stall and face-painting.
Helen Bearfield-Smith, the TCT's regional appeals manager, said: "It has gone really brilliantly – probably the best ever.
"There were about 2,000 people there and we had a fantastic line-up."
