Residents will have the chance to talk about the future of local health care at an event in Newmarket on Tuesday.
The NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a market stall event from 8.30am to 3.30p.m. in the car park at the rear of The Guineas Shopping Centre.
There will be an opportunity to get healthy living advice from LiveWell Suffolk and a chance to talk with staff from Suffolk Community Healthcare, Healthwatch Suffolk and Age UK Suffolk.
The event has been organised by the CCG, whose representatives will be on hand to talk about the planning and purchasing of health services for local people.
Jo Finn, the group’s patient and public engagement lay member, said: “One of the main priorities of the CCG is to talk with the people we serve so we know how future healthcare services should be shaped to meet local needs.
“This market stall event is a great way to talk with people and listen to their ideas,” she said.
“There will be CCG staff at the event, so there will be plenty of opportunity for people to find out what we do and how they can get involved.”
Oliver Langford, of Live Well Suffolk said: “We will be taking the opportunity to speak to local people about how we can help them live a healthier lifestyle
