Harry Potter pairing take centre stage at open day
TWO animal film stars made a guest appearance at the Animal Health Trust's third Gala Open Day on Sunday.
Fang, a huge neapolitan mastiff who plays Hagrid's dog in the Harry Potter films, posed for pictures along with co-star Crookshanks, the ginger cat belonging to Hermione Granger in the magical stories.
The event kicked off with a dog walk around the grounds of the trust in Lanwades Park and on to the heath.
Dogs then took centre stage the rest of the afternoon with demonstrations from the Southern Retriever Display Team, Rockwood Dog Display Team and the Tricky Tykes Terrier Racing Team.
The highlight of the day was a dog show which featured a class for ex-patients of the Animal Health Trust.
Top dog in the competition was five-year-old black labrador Isla, who was treated at the trust as a neurological emergency last January.
