Ivan, pictured, and Roberta Houghton have covered their Waterside home in Christmas lights every year since 2007 to raise money for the vital emergency service. The lights are switched on daily from 4pm until 10pm and a collection box was placed outside for donations. Last year the display raised £494 and ojnce again this year there arew lights hanging from the roof, walls and gutter of the couple’s bungalow, as well as Christmas figures in the garden. Barbara McGee, fundraiser for the air ambulance, said: “Ivan and Roberta support us every year and each year they seem to increase their display and raise more money.”
