Shoppers in Newmarket were invited to explore the tastes of the world during The Guineas shopping centre’s first-ever food festival.
The four-day celebration of food, held at the weekend from Thursday to Sunday, featured a whole host of tasty delights from the town’s local eateries.
Visitors sampled delicious treats from award-winning shops, cafes and restaurants, stocked up on produce from the World Food Market and enjoyed free family entertainment, including a toe-tapping, hip-swaying Creole band.
There were tastings from local producers hosted by The Pantry, who also held demonstrations of cake decorating and preparation of their delicious cold delicacies.
A Molly Malone cockle and mussel wheelbarrow was provided by Fish (Burwell) Ltd, Rhubarb held a celebratory Hog Roast, and there were tastings from the team at Costa Coffee.
Forest Heath District Council joined the fun by providing fabulous Kids’ Kitchen workshops and a popular Smoothie Bike, which gave visitors the chance to try out great recipes and create their own taste-sensational smoothies.
