Police have issued an e-fit of a suspect after a woman was assaulted in Newmarket on Friday.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was jogging along Fordham Road, from the direction of Tesco, at around 2.10pm.

She had just passed the site of St Felix Middle School when she saw a man walking towards her. She moved across the pavement to avoid him, but he moved towards her and made an attempt to grab her chest.

The woman was able to block his attempt and pushed him away before running off in the direction of the town centre.

The suspect is described as being a white man, aged 30 to 40 years old, around 6’1”-6’3” tall, of broad / large build, with thin, straight, ear-length, grey hair. He was wearing light blue, dirty jeans, a grey shirt and a denim jacket.

Police have issued an e-fit of the suspect and are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident.
