This Christmas, the streets and homes across Newmarket, Soham and Mildenhall will be lit up with lights galore.
The Journal wants to know where the very best displays are – and bring them to you all to see.
We want our website lit-up with videos of the modern phenomenon of decorating the exterior of homes and gardens with festive lights and decorations.
Like them or hate them, they are becoming increasingly popular. Many families do it to simply to cheer up their street and make people smile.
Others are an annual extravaganza to raise money for charity, including our very first video entry from Ivan and Roberta Houghton, of Isleham, who decorate their Waterside bungalow every year for the East Anglian Air Ambulance - the total raised last year was around £2,400.
The display is lit from 4.30pm to 10pm daily until December 31 with a donation box on the front wall.
The Journal wants to see your lights, so please submit a short video clip (15 seconds) of your own house lit up. Editor Barry Peters will then judge this year’s best Christmas lights with a case of beer for the winning entry.
Please only send 15 seconds of video - remember to try to keep your camera as still as possible. And remember: We want to see the front of house in all its glory!
Don’t forget to include your contact details.
Email video clips to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Tuesday, December 17. Good luck!
