Cycle tribute to fire victim Ann
The friend of a woman who died in a ferocious house fire in Kentford earlier this month is fundraising in her memory.
Caroline Shore, 53, from Moulton, will take part in Newmarket Leisure Centre’s annual spinathon on April 13 to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice and to pay tribute to friend Ann Guinle.
The 50 year old’s body was found by fire crews after flames tore through her Gazeley Road home on February 7. Her husband, Tony, survived.
Caroline, a business development coach, had already signed up for the event before learning of her friend’s death, but decided to dedicate the challenge to her after the pair attended a spinathon class together in September – one of the last times Caroline saw her alive.
“This opportunity to raise funds comes at a time when I felt hopeless about her death and raising money to support those facing their last moments helps me come to terms with the finality of it all,” she said.
“Ann was completely unique and she was truly lovely. She was a vibrant person, effervescent, and was just all-encompassing.”
