Customers visiting the Mildenhall branch of Sainsbury’s are being asked to cast their votes to help find the store’s next charity partner.
Visitors to the Recreation Way shop have until Sunday to nominate the charity or group they wish to see supported by the town’s branch of the supermarket giant for the next year.
Charities that have previously benefitted from the Local Charity scheme, which is now in its sixth year include Crack On Foundation, Friends of Market Cross Surgery and St Nicholas Hospice Care.
“We’re looking forward to supporting a local charity which touches many of our customers and colleagues hearts,” said Alan Bedwell, store manager.
“The scheme gives us the chance to make a real difference to important causes in the community and we hope our customers get behind this year’s voting.”
Once voting is complete a short list of nominations will be drawn up with the top three then invited into the branch to give a talk on how Sainsbury’s can support them.
The chosen charity will be announced by the store in July.
