A Newmarket dog handler and Luna, a six-year-old Anatolian Shepherd Dog, have walked away with a top prize at Crufts.

Handler Jessica Voss, 39, who is a member of the Newmarket and District Canine Society, and Luna fought off strong competition to scoop the coveted prize.

“It is just so special to win best of breed,” said Jessica. “Luna has travelled a long way from where she lives in America but it was worth it,” “I was a bit nervous going into the ring as it’s Crufts but it was fantastic. It’s such an important event, this is the big competition for Luna and I was very emotional.”
