The Newmarket and District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards are just around the corner with only a few months until the big event.
And the Newmarket Journal is thrilled to be sponsoring the Retailer of the Year category at this year’s event.
The awards are designed to highlight and celebrate the wealth and diversity of local business expertise and reward the achievements of some of the area’s leading businessmen and women.
Forest Heath has more than 3,000 registered businesses, all of which are welcome to enter the awards.
Your business does not need to be a member of theNDCC - the aim is to celebrate all local businesses.
The Retailer of the Year Award is open to any local retail outlet, restaurant, pub or cafe - last year’s winner was La Hogue farm shop and cafe.
Judges will look at the presentation, merchandising, customer engagement and service of each entry, as well as new concepts, staff training and community involvement.
Retailers should also include a brief summary of their marketing strategy.
Barry Peters, editor of Newmarket Journal, said: “We are delighted to be sponsors ofthe Retailer of the Year Award.
“It may be you feel this award should recognise the outstanding contribution of your own team. Alternatively, you may be a customer who has had regular dealings with one exceptional firm.
“Either way, make sure they don’t miss out on the chance of being recognised for their brilliance.”
Nominations are open now, so head to the NDCC website at www.newmarketanddistrict.co.uk to download an entry form.
All nominations should be sent directly to Claire Elbrow at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 01638 731513. The deadline for entries is October 24.
