A charity concert by the Newmarket Community Choir has raised £1400 towards a specialist scanner to help diagnose heart conditions in babies, children and teenagers.
The Rhythm of Life show was performed at the town’s memorial hall last month with the choir conducted by Robert Cross. Money was also collected through donations and a draw. Choir member, Ellen Cole, who suggested the Addenbrooke’s Healing Hearts Appeal, should benefit from the fundraiser, said she was delighted the concert had been such a success.
“Everyone has been so supportive and we are delighted how much was raised,” she said.
