Colourful Keren bids to smash £10,000 charity cash target
Keren Goff is hoping to reach her target of 10,000 for Cancer Research by running in the London Marathon.
A Fordham fundraiser has dyed her hair bright blue and pink to run the Virgin London Marathon on April 21.
Keren Goff, 33, who runs Fordham Cattery with her husband, Trevor, has already raised £8,469 for Cancer Research UK and hopes to smash her target of £10,000.
She started fundraising for the charity in 2010 after losing five stone in weight, and completed 18 races in 2012 including the London Marathon.
She said: “Every race I’ve run has been dedicated to someone I know that has been affected by cancer. I ran the marathon last year for 26 people - this year’s list has another 22 and keeps growing, so I keep running.”
Keren has been shortlisted for JustGiving’s Outstanding Commitment to Fundraising Award for her efforts and will attend the awards on April 11.
