Organisers of an annual Christmas lunch in Newmarket have received a helping hand with their fundraising thanks to the town branch of Waitrose.
The supermarket donated £1,500 to Newmarket’s Catholic Church, in Exeter Road, for its annual Christmas lunch, which is open to everyone and free to attend.
Father Simon Blakesley said: “We are very grateful to Waitrose for giving us this cheque. They have been very good neighbours.”
