Parents, staff and pupils at Newmarket’s Laureate primary school are smiling after raising more than £2,300 for a charity which supports children with mental health issues. Last year’s fundraising activities for Blue Smile included a Smile of Pennies , which collected over 5,000 coins and over £100, beat the goalie, a summer fete, an art exhibition and a s chool sponsor day. In total £2,341.49 was collected. Amanda Langford , head of Blue Smile , said: “We are incredibly grateful and the school should be really proud. We are hoping other schools will follow Laureate’s example and fundraise for us.”
This year Laureate is backing children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
