Centre takes on new project

Used packaging from Tassimo coffee machines can now be recycled at the Household Waste Centre near Mildenhall.

T-Discs and outer foil packaging will be able to be recycled at the centre as opposed to going to landfill following the distribution of a recycling bin for the products.

The site is one of 11 across Suffolk to receive such bins.

Two Terracycle points will be awarded for the weight of each piece sent in for recycling. Each point is equal to a one pence contribution to charity.

Money collected from the project will be donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

“The aim of this scheme is not only to reduce waste sent to landfill, but to raise as much money possible for the East Anglian Air Ambulance,” said Alan Clark, organiser.
