Newmarket Leisure Centre brought some seasonal cheer to elderly patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Staff at the Exning Road centre ran an appeal to collect Christmas gifts for the Cambridge hospital’s dementia ward.
A Christmas tree donated by Newmarket’s Homebase store was put up at the leisure centre and visitors were asked to buy gifts to leave underneath.
Kim Parr, senior Active for Life instructor delivered the presents to the ward.
She said: “It was a real privilege to deliver the countless presents given to the appeal. The patients were so delighted to receive them.”
Presents were still arriving at the leisure centre after the deadline, which will be taken to the ward.
