Car thieves strike

Police are warning motorists to lock their vehicles following a string of thefts from cars in Red Lodge.

Five vehicles were targeted between 8.30pm on Thursday and 7.30am the following morning.

Two were entered in Bramble Walk, one in Bayberry Close, one in Rowan Place and another in Yarrow Walk.

Police said all cars had been left unlocked and that items stolen included three sat navs, a mobile phone, iPod and cigarettes.

A police spokesman said: “Members of the public are advised to always keep their vehicles locked and secure and to remove all property from them.”
