Entries are being sought for a charity golf tournament at the Links Golf Club, Newmarket, to help raise cash for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

The event, organised by Briony Craven-Russell, will comprise a four-ball stableford competition for teams of up to four and will take place on April 2.

Following the conclusion of the golf, and accompanying silent auction, a prize giving ceremony hosted by racing presenter Mike Cattermole, and a two-course dinner will be held at the club.

In the evening Will Axon, of BBC One programme Flog It!, will conduct an auction and raffle, featuring prizes from signed footballs to television studio tours and polo lessons.

All proceeds raised will go towards Briony’s total she is collecting for the Bury St Edmunds based hospice during her attempt at this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon.

Entry into the golf tournament costs £200 per team.
