A Newmarket butcher will try out a new hairstyle by growing his locks to raise money for two neo-natal units.
Mark Ramsbotham, of Exning Road, who has shaved his head once a week for the last 20 years, started to grow his hair on January 3 and will continue until his 50th birthday on May 15.
He is raising money for the Rosie Hospital and the neo-natal unit at West Suffolk Hospital, which both cared for his daughter Samantha.
He said: “Nineteen years ago my youngest daughter went to both units.
“She was premature and was only 1lb 11 ounces when she was born.”
Mr Ramsbotham, who works for Eric Tennant butchers in Newmarket, hopes to raise as much as possible for the hospitals. Sponsorship forms are available from the butchers, in The Guineas shopping centre.
